Rev. Dr. Clark Cowden
Dr. Cowden has a lengthy history and experience in all aspects of church leadership and governance. He came to Tab off of two back-to-back one-year transitional pastorates at First Presbyterian in Hollywood, California and from St. Andrews Presbyterian in Redondo Beach, California.
Clark received his Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Education and Systems Analysis from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California. He received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.
Clark is a big sports fan and follows the Colts, the Pacers, the Fever, and the Big Ten. He enjoys running and pickleball. He likes reading, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with family.
Dr. Steve Smith
Dr. Steve Smith serves as Tab’s part-time Interim Associate Pastor, focusing on pastoral care and mission support. He brings nearly four decades of experience serving churches in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and California, most recently as Transitional Pastor of Pacific Palisades Presbyterian Church.

Matt Kauffman
Matt Kauffman has been Minister of Music at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church since September 1991. Along with his duties at Tabernacle he serves on the board of The Indiana Choral Directors Association. His passion is serving God and serving the Tabernacle congregation through worship and music.

Jennifer Wirt
Jennifer Wirt serves as Tab’s Director of Children’s Ministries, overseeing programs for children from birth through 6th grade. She brings a strong background in music and education, having earned degrees in music and worked as a Registered Music Therapist before completing a Master’s in Education. Jennifer taught Pre-K while her own children were young, and later taught elementary and middle school music.

Amy and Daniel Rexroth have served as co-directors of Tab’s Youth Ministries since 2016, guiding teens in their faith journeys and fostering growth, resilience, and spiritual development.

Bart Ost
Bart Ost serves as Tab’s Director of Spiritual Growth, partnering with Session members and volunteers to develop adult faith formation and enrichment opportunities. He encourages lifelong learning that helps people grow in faith and live it out in daily life.

Kristine Green
Kristine Green serves as the Tab’s Director of Finance, where she oversees the church’s financial operations. She manages accounts receivable and payable, administers payroll, and ensures that all financial practices align with legal and ethical standards. Jenny Sturgis
Jenny Sturgis is the Interim Director of Media Ministry, managing the various media touch points used to communicate to Tab members and the community. Jenny is often seen around the church behind a camera or computer, keeping communications flowing. A graduate of Herron School of Art + Design, she enjoys bringing her fine art and art history passions into her work at Tab.

Jeff Earnest
Jeff Earnest has managed Tab’s facilities since May 2023. Before joining Tab, he spent over eleven years overseeing the building and grounds at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Jeff plays a vital role in supporting Tab’s ministry and mission by overseeing maintenance, repairs, and planning for future capital improvements, ensuring the church’s spaces remain safe, welcoming, and ready for worship, programs, and community gatherings.

Mike O’Banyel serves as Interim Community Ministries Coordinator at Tab, bringing decades of experience in service, leadership, and community engagement.
