Good Friday Tenebrae Service: 7p

Good Friday is observed at Tab on April 3, 2026 and will include two meaningful opportunities for worship and reflection. At 5:00 p.m., the church will hold a Choral Good Friday Service. Later in the evening at 7:00 p.m., Tabernacle Presbyterian Church will host a Tenebrae Service, a traditional service of shadows. In the Tenebrae liturgy, candles are gradually extinguished as scripture is read, symbolizing the encroaching darkness of sin and death as Jesus draws near to his crucifixion. The service culminates in profound silence and often a period of quiet reflection, drawing participants into the depths of Good Friday’s solemn mystery. Both services provide meaningful moments to ponder Jesus’ sacrificial love and to prepare spiritually for the celebration of Easter.
