Tab Recreation
Empowering Youth Through Faith and Sports
For over a century, Tab Recreation has been using the power of sports to build up young people in body, mind, and spirit. This Christ-centered program brings together kids from across the city, connecting them with positive mentors, character-building experiences, and a community that believes in them. From football and basketball to summer leagues and scholarships, Tab Rec is where faith and fun come together.
Tab Tutoring
Showing Up For Students After the Bell Rings
Every Thursday afternoon, students from local schools gather at Tab for academic support, encouragement, and fun. Tab Tutoring is more than homework help. Our program is about nurturing potential and reminding every child they are seen, known, and loved. Volunteers serve as mentors, snack providers, activity leaders, and prayer warriors, building bonds that go beyond the classroom.
Community Care, Open Door Café & Blessings Table
Tab’s Community Assistance
Tab offers various forms of assistance to members of our neighborhood. The Community Care program assists with occasional utility assistance, bus passes and a listening ear. Open Door Café is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11am to 12pm for free lunch. On Wednesday, the Blessings Table gives away items collected to community members in need during Café hours. Each of these ministries actively supports our neighbors!
Fresh Stop
Bringing Healthy Food Within Reach
Fresh Stop is a community-powered produce program that brings farm-fresh fruits and vegetables to neighbors of all income levels. With a pay-what-you-can model and a focus on dignity and access, Fresh Stop is about food and connection. Every pickup is a gathering point for neighbors to share, serve, and support one another in body and spirit.
