Reverend L. John Gable, Pastor

Kris and I have been married since 1979. We met at Hanover College in Southern Indiana. We have two grown children--Timm, who graduated from Miami of Ohio and is now doing film and commercial work in Brooklyn and in Milwaukee; and Jen who graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan and was married this past summer. She is living with her husband in Racine, Wisconsin. Kris is a middle school math teacher.

I grew up in St. Louis and after graduating from Hanover College went to Princeton Theological Seminary. After serving churches is Mansfield, Ohio and Waterloo, Iowa, Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Mequon, Wisconsin called me to be Senior Pastor in September of 1994.

I currently serve on the Board of Directors of Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin and on the board of Youth Conference Ministries out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. In the past I have served on the boards of Friendship Living Centers and Advocates of Ozaukee, as well as various committees in the Presbytery of Milwaukee.

I love having time with my family and with friends, playing music and playing games. I particularly enjoy golf in the summer and badminton in the winter.

In a word, I feel "Blessed." I am grateful for the gifts and opportunities for which God has given me and feel "blessed to be a blessing." I am grateful for this opportunity to serve as pastor of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church and look forward to worshipping and serving with you.
